We are what we eat

Isn't that what people say?
What does it mean?
What we eat affects how we feel.
As does how we eat it!
An attitude of gratitude helps.
Together with taking care of food production and consumption.
It's all part of taking care of ourselves.

Who cares?

Very few, if any! Apart from yourself, maybe?
Most other people are too busy worrying about themselves.
You've got to like and look after yourself.
If you don't, no-one else is likely to want to.
Attractiveness attracts!
For better, or worse.
SO, what are you attracting?

Are you good at choosing and asking for what you want?

Repairing the damage.

I've abused my body for long enough! It's time to take better care of it.
How will I know when I'm doing this?
I'll feel better.
What does this involve?
Better eating habits.
More exercise.
Seeing and feeling my body change, so it will willingly do what I ask of it.

What are the consequences of my choices?

No idea?
Time to find out.
How can we feel good about ourselves
If we don't know the consequences of our choices?
Imagine ...
Then care.
Then act.

Who cares?

If you don't care about yourself and your appearance,
It's doubtful others will, for long, unless they have to.
Why should they ...
If you can't be bothered?
It's time to take stock.
How do you want to be?
Are you sure?

Starting again?

So here we are ...
At the beginning of another New Year, 2012.
I'm feeling good about the year ahead, excited about my plans.
Particularly my resolution to continue to take good care of my body.
We can all be healthy, if we want.
We need to be careful though.
Trusting our ability to be well ... rejecting all that prevents this.

Do you give sufficient care and attention to the health of your body, mind and soul?

It's so easy to take our health for granted, unless it isn't.
There is so much else these days clamouring for our attention.
How often do we really check in with our bodies when asked "How are you?"
Are we tired, achey, less than 100% in some way ... yet, do we admit it?
What would be better?
What would it take?
A little more TLC? Think about it.

Next time someone asks "How are you?" ask yourself "How healthy am I?"
Can you reply truly "I'm fit and healthy, thank you. You?"
